Job: Warehouse Stock Controller
Salary: £25,000 - £27,500
Our client is a leading provider of quality-assured road transport, warehousing and driver training services to clients throughout the UK. They are looking to recruit a practical hands-on team player to co-ordinate our inbound and outbound Warehouse stock movements, utilising our Warehouse Management System to record all stock activity and produce customer invoices.
This role will involve:
Setting up customer products and stock configurations on our Warehouse Management System.
Daily receipt and processing of all inbound and outbound stock movement orders, ensuring that they always meet customer requirements.
Logging details of all stock movements into the Warehouse Management System.
Working closely with the Forklift Truck drivers regarding order picking / fulfilment and inbound stock locations, and providing FLT cover at busy times of the day.
Communication with the Transport Office Team regarding the despatch and delivery of customer orders.
Producing stock reports and movement updates in accordance with customer requirements.
Completion of regular stock checks and audits of storage freight.
Providing system support for the Company's Transport Management System, including the setting up of rate schedules and the production of KPI reports for key customers.
Providing customer quotations for individual consignments.
Producing Warehouse and Transport invoices.
The successful candidate for this position will have the following skills:
Strong IT Skills, to enable in-depth use of our Warehouse Management System, and support for our Transport Management System. A process-driven individual with strong MS Excel skills, together with a working knowledge of Crystal reports would be ideal for this role.
A 'Hands-On' Approach and commitment to see the job through to completion.
Accuracy/Attention to Detail is essential to enable the maintenance of detailed stock records.
Organisational Ability: In a busy and time-sensitive environment, this skill is fundamental to the provision of the highest standards of service to our customers.
Communication and Team Working Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and drivers in a professional manner, to achieve operational efficiency.
A Flexible Approach: Because our Business operates 24 hours per day, flexibility of working hours is required.
Reach Truck & Counterbalance FLT licences and experience will be essential for this role. Additional training will be provided if one of these licences is held.
Working hours are 08.00hrs to 17.00hrs, Monday to Friday.
