Job: European Merchandiser/Buyer

Location: Leominster

Salary: £35,000-£40,000

Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00

Our client have a really exciting new opportunity for a Merchandiser to join their expanding Merchandising team. The role will be to manage the trading of the European channels and contribute towards the creation and implementation of the product strategy for Europe. Work closely with the Product Buying ad Merchandising teams to deliver a product offer that exceed customers' expectations and achieves sales and profit targets.

                                                                                                                                                        Key Responsibilities:

Profit Maximisation

Preparation of European product budgets and sales, profit and stock targets

Monitor performance against key indicators and identify risks and opportunities and build upon them to improve profitability and grow the business

Identify new business opportunities to grow sales and profitability

Agree and deliver trading plans in line with UK business, to optimise sales and profit

Management of product life cycle on a weekly basis. Work with trading team to launch product and manage the exit of lines at the end of their life

Develop a markdown strategy to reduce old stock, to drive trade, and maximise profit which is Europe focused but in line with the wider business strategy.

Range Building and Planning.

Contribute towards the Departmental product budgets by providing Channel level insights at Brand and Category level.

Demonstrate a customer focused knowledge of the markets and the competition.

 

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, flexi-time hours are available (minimum 3 days per week in the office).

 

To be considered you will need to have:

Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Excellent Commercial awareness with an interest in product

Able to communicate in a way that drives confidence and buy in to ideas

Ability to coach, motivate and develop a team

Resilient, adaptable and able to multi task

Able to work under pressure and at pace

Ideally educated to degree level in a fashion or business subject.
