A manufacture of self-lubricating bearing and seal components in Redditch are looking for someone to join their team.
They use advanced carbon/graphite, silicon carbide, alumina and zirconia materials to engineer lightweight, low-friction bearings and seals.
OVERVIEW & SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reporting to the Team Leader/Production Manager, you will be working in a production environment on CNC grinding machines working within ceramic seals and bearings, whilst ensuring site safety standards are maintained.
Hours of work: Sunday 11pm - 6am and Monday - Thursday - 10pm - 6am. Flexibility may be required to support on days where needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:
⦁ Setting machines in accordance with H&S regulations and the process control plan.
⦁ CNC grinding, operating, setting, and programming.
⦁ Interpreting component drawings to determine specifications.
⦁ Using measuring equipment to ensure components meet specification.
⦁ Monitoring equipment spares and consumables, replenishing stock when required.
⦁ Responsible for championing 6S and developing a culture of lean.
⦁ Performing & developing PM & TPM activities to ensure continuous operation of machines, monitoring the condition of machine parts, replacing when required.
⦁ To develop ways of working to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
⦁ Liaising with the QEHS & CI Leader to ensure quality standards are being achieved.
⦁ Performing any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Essential Qualifications
⦁ Apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline
⦁ A GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths

My client in Redditch designs, manufactures and assembles high quality precision engineered tooling and equipment.
They are seasoned specialists in the design and manufacture of hydro-mechanical rigs and fixtures for testing the fuel system components on aircraft engines.
They are looking for a skilled CNC engineer / supervisor to join their business.
Supervisor duties.
To Help M/D with organizing workload through the manufacturing shopfloor.
Inputting works orders onto the system & creating process sheets for each job, knowledge of Emax preferred but not essential.
To promote Health & safety.
Maintaining quality.
CNC duties.
Looking for a vibrant, dynamic & technically good person to drive this part of the business forward must be proficient in CAD/CAM, programming online/offline. Knowledge of programming from 3D models/Step files would be an advantage. We are currently using OneCNC offline software.
Machining on a 4-axis Mini mill with a Siemens sinumerik controller through to a 2-axis CNC with Proto-Trak/accurite controllers. Through to inspection of the part.
